It was a great ride.

Day 19 - The Burr Trail Road
Today I'll ride the Burr Trail Road from Boulder, UT to Bullfrog Marina on Lake Powell. The road is 68 miles long, about half paved, and goes through part of Capital Reef National Park.
The view just outside Escalante on the way to Boulder.
On the Burr Trail Road, about the 5 miles from where it starts in Boulder.
Yes, the road drops down into that canyon.
It was a bit nervous parking the bike here; there is a large drop-off just behind it.
A beautiful day.
No kidding.
It's a beautiful canyon.
I like the name "Little Death Hollow".
It's not a dirt bike, but at least it's not allergic to dirt..
The pavement ends at the Capital Reef boundary.
At the top of some switchbacks.
They look pretty steep from above.
A fairly flat spot about half-way down.
At the bottom. They actually were pretty steep. Glad it wasn't raining.
Tonight: Cortez, Colorado.

Day 18 - The Hotel Nevada in Ely
Not much to say, the Hotel Nevada is a cool old hotel that was build in 1929. It is six stories tall and was the tallest building in Nevada at the time. Lots of famous folks have stayed there. These days it's a "biker-friendly" bar.
Tomorrow: Escalante, UT.

Day 17, Jackpot, Nevada
Just outside of Stanley I pulled a U-turn to go back get this shot.
I stopped off at Ketchum to have a coffee. Ketchum is a tourist town, but a pretty one.
Got to stand around in 100-degree temps for about 15 minutes just outside of Twin Falls, waiting for the train to move.
The Four Jacks Casino/Hotel in Jackpot. Cheap room, cheaper drinks. As long as you're playing video poker, the drinks are free.

Day 16 - Stanley, ID
The Sawtooth Hotel in Stanley is a nice, homey place.
A couple of bluegrass singers came up from Boise to play.
It was 35 degrees the next morning as I headed off to Ketchum, ID and Jackpot, Nevada.

Day 15 - Glacier Park
St. Mary Lake on the east side of Glacier.
Near Logan Pass on the Going To The Sun Road between East and West Glacier.
It was bumper to bumper because of road construction.
The river just upstream of Lake McDonald on the West side.

Day 13 - Radium Hot Springs to Waterton
Short ride today from Banff to Radium Hot Springs, BC. Don't be fooled by the cute, kitchy exterior, it was a dump. But cheap.
Pretty country on the way to Waterton.
A young grizzly browsing a huckleberry patch just inside Waterton Park.

Day 12 - Banff to Radium Hot Springs
Don't let the cute kitchy exterior of this Radium Springs motel fool you, this was another dump. A kitchenette dump. I had to arm wrestle one of the largest ants I've ever seen for my coffee cup in the morning.
Crampbuster. The careful observer will notice the small pieces of cork glued to the inside surface to keep it from slipping.
A Waterton local.
Yes, it was good.
What's he looking at?
The prince of Prince of Wales Hotel is magnificent.
Tomorrow: back to the States.

Yogi browsing for lunch. Huckleberries, I think, but I did not get off the bike to confirm.
